Biography

Lorraine Fontaine Gagné, known also under the artist name « LOGAN », was born in Manitoba. She grew up with the influence of a very artistic mother. The experience of being close to nature and the vastness of the prairies created in her a feeling of freedom. Abandon

As an adult, Lorraine lived in the Ottawa region. During this time she explored her creativity in various media such as sculpture, clay and pottery. She worked as a professional photographer for more than fifteen years. This allowed her to focus on the essence of different expressions of light and also allowed the freedom of expression.

Circumstances changed her career to sales and marketing in advertising in the broadcast media. After many years in the Ottawa region she felt the need for a new creative challenge and moved to Laval, Quebec. In the desire to push beyond her present creative life she discovered the world of painting. The discovery of acrylic medium opened the door to the exploration of expressing herself in texture and color. During the past five years her artistic research included courses and workshops with well known artists including Le Musée d’Art Contemporain of Montréal.

Today, she uses the inspiration of her studio and music which ignites her paintings with flamboyant colors and energy. Time stops!
